LESSON RATES

Weekly lessons

30-minute weekly lesson: $150 per month (age 5 and under only)
45-minute weekly lesson: $225 per month
60-minute weekly lesson: $300 per month

Adult (18+) non-weekly lessons

Tuition is based on 40 lessons (38 individual lessons + 2 studio classes) divided over 11 equal monthly payments. Weekly students are committed to eleven months of lessons, Sept through July. Tuition is due on the first day of each month. Monthly tuition will remain due if extended absences are taken during the eleven-month calendar year in order to hold your spot. I accept online credit card payments, checks, and cash. Families who are consistently late on payments will be required to setup online autopay.

For adults (18+) who do not wish to take weekly lessons, I offer flexible scheduling and payment options. Adults may schedule lessons as they go and pay per lesson.

COVID-19 SAFETY

I will be following all state and federal recommended guidelines as they unfold throughout the year. If local public schools stop in-person classes, I will also switch to virtual lessons.

Screening. Students should not come for lessons if they have a cough, a fever, shortness of breath, difficulties breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced a loss of taste or smell. We can have our lesson online or we can reschedule.

Exposure. If a student has been exposed to a positive Covid case but has tested negative for Covid-19 and has no symptoms, they are welcome to attend lessons as usual.

Sanitation. Students will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly when they arrive for lessons. Additionally, I will sanitize all surfaces that students come in contact with between each lesson. Hand sanitizer will also be provided for use.

Masks. Students will be required to wear masks during their lessons. I will also be wearing a mask while teaching.

Please note: If at any point during the year, you would prefer to switch to online lessons, just let me know and I’ll be happy to make the switch.

ANNUAL MATERIALS FEE

An annual fee of $65 per student is due at enrollment and each September. This is a flat fee paid by all students to reserve your lesson slot for the entire year and to cover the cost of the following:

  1. All music books and studio licensed sheet music. This includes method books, recital pieces, piano exam materials, printed music distributed under studio licenses, and all other lesson resources (e.g. flashcards, prizes, assignment books, etc.).
  2. Performance fees. This includes recital venue costs and program printing.
  3. Access to audio and video recordings of student pieces.
  4. Use of studio licensed apps and websites.

MISSED LESSONS

Make-up credit is given for cancellations made 24 hours in advance. To schedule a make-up, just call or text me and we can find a mutually convenient time to have the make-up lesson. (It will most likely need to be on a Saturday.)

Please do not come to lessons if you are sick. We can have the lesson via Skype or you may cancel the lesson and receive make-up credit.

TEACHER ABSENCE

If I am unable to teach due to illness, performances, or other responsibilities, I will make arrangements for a make-up lesson at a mutually convenient time or offer a refund for the missed lesson.

OTHER STUDIO POLICIES

Please be on time. I cannot extend your lesson time if you arrive late.
I reserve the right to fire myself as instructor of any student not showing sufficient progress.
Please allow one month’s notice if you wish to discontinue piano lessons indefinitely.
Participation in informal and formal recitals is optional but highly encouraged.
